Happy Easter weekend! I'm hopping in a little early this week to share a few fun (last minute) Easter ideas in case you need something to keep the kids busy between the egg hunt and the family dinner tomorrow.
1. Printables! Let the kids make cards for your dinner guests with these from Draw Me a Lion, or these from Family Fun. Or do some last minute decorating with this cute banner.
2. Make some Easter treats. Following recipes together is an great way to practice the use of functional print, to show kids how you use reading to accomplish things around the house.
3. Here are some simple learning activities for the little ones using yummy jelly beans.
4. Have you colored eggs yet? The letter eggs above are a fun and easy egg decorating trick, even for the littlest egg artists. Just stick on a letter sticker, then dye, dry and remove. We did letters, polka dots and stripes. These doodle eggs are also awesome for the bigger kids! In fact, want to make some myself. You could also consider keeping a few un-boiled and let the kiddos practice cracking!
I'm off to enjoy a gorgeous *sunny* spring day in the Pacific Northwest! I hope the sun is shining for you too!
Have a wonderful Easter, peeps!
