Nightstand Notebook

My smart friend told me about a wonderful variation of the mom/kid letter writing idea I talked about here.

...She actually responded on my Small Types Facebook page and I just found it.  I think I promised to get better with Facebook in 2011.  I'm not off to a good start!

Anyway, here's her idea...

Smart friend and her smart daughter write to each other in a notebook, kept by the daughter's bed:

• Before going to sleep, girl writes to mom.  
• After girl falls asleep, mom responds.  
• Girl wakes up in the morning to a lovely bedside note from mom!  

 The sweetest idea ever!
